Japan Linguistics Olympiad (JOL; Japanese: 日本言語学オリンピック) is a national linguistics competition in Japan. It is held annually, usually in December, and is a part of the team selection process for Japan to International Linguistics Olympiad. It is organized by the Japanese IOL organizing committee (Japanese: 日本国際言語学オリンピック委員会).
